Tema-based music duo R2Bees have finally let the cat out of the bag on their inconsistencies regarding releasing music.
The pair, whose last album 'Site 15' was released in 2019, opened up to Joy Entertainment on factors contributing to their shying away from music-making and its related activities.
In an exclusive interview with Doreen Avio at the ‘Back 2 Basics’ album listening party on Wednesday, November 24, Paedae mentioned that they get tired sometimes.
He explained, “we started music way too early…from 1999 to 2008 we were already big in Tema. So Ghana got to know us in 2008”.
Narrowing his reasons, he said, “from then till now, I feel like we get tired sometimes, we need motivation, we need inspiration.”
However, the group, who have been working tirelessly for years, seems to have the antidote to their inconsistencies.
“We have to motivate ourselves to keep being consistent,” Paedae said, albeit admitting to a nosedive in enthusiasm contrary to the keenness at the start of their careers.
‘Back 2 Basics’, the group’s fourth studio album, was released on November 25, available on all streaming platforms.
The album title was inspired by a return of the group’s original way of creating music, especially with sole productions from Killbeatz, who instead has two only production credits on the album.
