President Akufo-Addo, for the 27th time since Ghana recorded a Covid-19 case, addressed the general public on measures put in place to intensify the fight against the pandemic.
The address follows concerns over a possible 4th wave after the emergence of a new Covid-19 variant, Omicron.
The country, according to the Ghana Health Service, has recorded some 41 cases of the Omicron variant.
As part of efforts to get more Ghanaians to vaccinate against the virus, the government has introduced new measures, including a mandatory vaccination drive at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA).
So far, a total of 664,810 tests have been carried out at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA). Out of this figure, 3,380 came out positive.
