As of January 22, 2022, a total of 120 individuals contracted the Covid-19 pandemic.
This is according to the Ghana Health Service in its latest update on the country's fight against the deadly virus.
The new cases were recorded in the Greater Accra, Western, Upper West and the Bono East regions as well as the Kotoka International Airport (KIA).
The Service noted that the active cases currently stand at 2,101. All 16 regions are battling with active cases.
On its website, the GHS stated that 39 individuals are in severe condition while eight others are in critical condition.

The country's Covid-19 death toll now stands at 1,384. From January 18 to 22, a total of 14 lives have been lost.
Between January 21 and 22, the Ghana Health Service has discharged 410 people who have recovered from the virus from its various health facilities.
Since the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020, a total of 152,907 people have been discharged. So far, the GHS has confirmed 156,392 Covid-19 cases.
