JoyNews is set to premiere the season two of its legal educational quiz dubbed, ‘The Law Challenge’ on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at 2pm.
The programme, which will be aired every Sunday, is aimed at strengthening the connections with regard to the law, legal education, the business community and the society at large.
It will be staged in three rounds; the Preliminary, Semi-Final and the Grand Finale which would feature a Moot Court Session.
‘The Law Challenge will focus on areas including Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Law of Torts, Ghana Legal Systems, Law of Contract and Law of Immovable Property.
While generating competitive spirit and healthy academic rivalry among law faculties in various tertiary institutions, the show will also contribute to the development of good lawyers who will live up to the roles expected in social, political and economic advancement of the society.
“The Law Challenge is also aimed at developing lawyering and advocacy skills among law students, bringing the study of law to the doorstep of ordinary Ghanaians and serving as a resource tool for the law students,” organisers of the programme have said.
The first edition of the Law Challenge, slated for Sunday, will feature contestants from KAAF Faculty of Law and UPSA Faculty of Law.
Hosted by JoyNews’ Samson Lardy Anyenini, the show will target LLB graduates seeking entry into the Ghana School of law, lawyers, judges, magistrates, law lecturers, business community, workers and employers, among others.
The Law Challenge has been endorsed by the Education Ministry and is set to provide an educational quiz platform to raise the level of citizens’ compliance to various aspects of the laws governing the country.
