The CEO of Exclusive Events Ghana, organisers of the Miss Ghana beauty pageant, Inna Mariam Patty, has advised the youth always to have a bigger plan in life.
This came up while the former beauty queen was talking to Rev. Erskine on YFM’s Y-Leaderboard Series on how she moved from working in finance to the law field.
According to her, it was not much of a problem for her since pursuing law was also in the bigger picture.
“Richwell Executives was the second job I got after studying for my Master’s in Accounting and Finance. At the time, nobody was hiring in investment banking, and people were folding up.
"Richwell Executives used to headhunt for investment banks, so that was what drew me to them, and I told myself I was going to work there, network and then find myself a job in investment banking,” she said.
Sharing her story, Inna Patty said, “Unfortunately, when I was employed, they lost their biggest client within two weeks, so it was either we were also folding up or diversifying.
"Then my supervisor and management suggested that we were going to headhunt for the legal industry and so that’s how come from finance, I ended up focusing on law.”
She said this was a good switch for her because she had wanted to be a lawyer at a point in her life, and she had had that dream since childhood.
“It still fits in my bigger plan, so that is why in life, you need to have that bigger plan so that even if you fall short of one thing, you’re still within the walls of the plan,” she said.
