Black Stars management committee member Sammy Kuffour believes Ghana has the psychological edge over Nigeria in the encounter for a place at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The Black Stars are undefeated against the Super Eagles in sixteen years, a record which could play in the hands of Ghana in this fixture according to the former Bayern Munich defender.
Nigeria's last triumph over the three-time World Cup participants was at the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations held in Egypt.
"I was playing that game, 2006, they beat us 1-0 AFCON and from then, they never get any chance to beat us. We always win against them", Kuffour told JoyNews.
"Psychologically, we have the advantage. In this case, when you look on paper, they are much better than us player to player but when you look into the details of Ghana-Nigeria, the history, we are ahead of them", the Ex-Ghana centre-back said.
It is believed Augustine Eguavoen's side boast of top-class players capable of ending that wretched record against Otto Addo's outfit.
Ghana take on Nigeria on March 25 in Kumasi, at the Baba Yara Stadium before travelling four days later to Abuja for the second leg at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.
