On the heels of the Black Stars' qualification to Qatar for the 2022 World Cup, Sports Journalist, George Addo, said interim coach, Otto Addo should be given the necessary backing to continue with the job because he brought structure into the team.
He made this assertion in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz 103.9 FM, after he was asked whether he thinks Otto Addo should be maintained or substituted for Chris Hughton.
In his response, he said: "Coach Otto Addo in the two games he has played, has provided structure to the team. You can see what the defense is doing, you can see what the midfield is doing and you can see what the strikers are doing as well. You can see what the team's approach is", he told Andy Dosty.

He highlighted the Black Stars game against Comoros at the AFCON to validate his claim.
According to him, the team had no structure then, and other people did not know what was expected of him.
That was evident in the first goal the Black Stars conceded against them [Comoros] when the two center backs of the team where completely out of position.
Coach Otto Addo made sure such mistakes were repeated in the game against Nigeria on Tuesday at the Moshood Abiola Stadium.
George Addo went further to acknowledge the coach's tactical knowledge as well, something he [George] admitted as being key to him personally.
"One of the key things for me is Otto Addo's ability to read the tactics during the game. The in-game tactics that is very important. In the first 25 minutes, Otto Addo has a plan, the second 25 minutes, Otto Addo has a plan, the second half he has a plan and he is also able to get the best out of the materials available to him. That is what is surprising to me," he said.

He also placed a spotlight on the unifying nature of Coach Addo, stating emphatically that, it is what is needed going forward for the Black Stars.
"Aside Otto Addo's tactical acumen, he is also a unifier and that is what you need going forward. Right after the match, he spent time thanking CK Akonnor who started the WC Qualification as well as Milovan Rajevac and all the injured players as well as players who were on the bench and this is what we need in a unifier like him,"
"He has worked in a coaching consortium which consist of Didi Dramani who is a Ghana Premier League winner himself and George Boateng who has worked with the likes of Aston Villa and himself, so I think this technical team is telling us that they have it all to take us forward as a team," he continued.
The Black Stars secured a slot in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar after they drew 1-1 with Nigeria at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja having qualified on the away goal rule after they held Nigeria to a goalless draw in the first leg in Kumasi.
The draw for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar is set to come off this Friday.
