Prof. Quarm Publications has donated educational materials worth ¢400,000 to support the Otumfour Osei Tutu II Foundation to improve quality education.
The 14,500 science textbooks will be distributed to students in deprived communities across the country.
Out of the number, about 12,000 copies will be distributed to primary and junior high schools while the remaining 2,500 will supplied to senior high schools.
Prof Joseph Albert Quarm, the company's Chief Executive Officer, believes it is important to always donate a portion of the profits to society, particularly by supporting education as a component of development.

“I must admit that Prof Quarm Publications Limited, as a science publicising firm in Ghana, has helped five African countries including Gambia, Sierra Leone, Liberia, part of Nigeria as well as our own motherland Ghana.
“So when we see this kind of investment that we've done for over 28 good years, then of course, we need to do something to support the society and that it's why we came," he noted.
According to Prof Quarm, the books will surely aid in encouraging better teaching and learning, adding that the content of the books align with the new curriculum.

"We believe with Otumfour's Foundation, we can cause change and visit villages to promote quality and all-inclusive education. We're one of the best in terms of science education; that's why we came to support."
In addition to providing books, the Company has also contributed to the construction of a 100-bed capacity hospital in the Amansie West District.
Among other benefits, it will help to assist the delivery of healthcare services to residents.
