The Founder of Heaven’s Gate Ministry, Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Prophet Kumchacha, has described the building of the National Cathedral, as "needless."
The controversial man of God said he doesn’t agree with the President on the need for the National Cathedral.
He added that if the President wants to continue building the edifice, he should do it from his pocket, not from the nation’s coffers.
“The National Cathedral is bogus. Nana Akufo Addo Dankwa was in opposition when he made a personal promise to God that when he becomes President he will build a National Cathedral in His honour, so why must Ken Ofori-Atta come out to say everyone should send Mobile Money as a contribution to the building of the edifice?“
In an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, he stated that the monies being collected for the building of the National Cathedral can be used to provide good drinking water, fix poor road networks and poor hospital facilities to improve the living standards of people in the country.
“A government that has bad roads, lack of good drinking water and poor hospital facilities and government that has one leg at IMF, you are using 500 million dollars for National Cathedral?” he asked.
