The 2022 edition of the Division One League (DOL) Super Cup got underway on Tuesday, August 16, at the Kyebi Astro Turf.
Kotoku Royals pipped Ebusua Dwarfs 1-0 while Liberty Professionals came from behind to draw 1-1 against Nsoatreman FC on matchday one.
The two Group A games were all played at the Kyebi AstroTurf in the Eastern Region.

In the afternoon fixture, Fredrick Boateng curled in a brilliant free-kick in the 24th minute at the edge of the box to give the betPawa Premier League newcomers the lead.
Two minutes after the break, goalkeeper Daniel Amissah stepped up and converted a penalty to pull parity for the Scientific Soccer Lads.
The Group A opener ended 1-1.
Later in the day, newly-promoted betPawa Premier League side, Kotoku Royals, scored early in the game to edge Ebusua Dwarfs in the second Group A game.
Richard Dzikoe gave Kotoku Royals the lead seven minutes into the game. He was teed up nicely at the left side of the box and drilled the ball into the net for the only goal in the game.
Next fixtures
Liberty Professionals will take on Ebusua Dwarfs at 2:00 PM while Nsoatreman FC play Kotoku Royals at 5:00 PM on Friday, August 19, 2022, in the second round of Group A games.
Meanwhile, Samartex will face off against Young Apostles at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 17, in the first Group B game.
Tamale City and Tema Youth will play the other group game at 5:00 PM.
