Ghana will be a centre point in the fight against cyber-attacks on the continent especially in the financial sector.
This follows the entry of one of the biggest cyber security solution provider on the continent, Oduma solutions.
Speaking at a dinner for stakeholders in Accra, Chief Executive for Oduma Solutions, Steve Amponsah told Joy Business that Ghana is taking a lead in fighting the menace, which has remained under reported on the continent.
“Cybercrime has been on the rise and there has been more attacks that we don’t hear of because of the kind of environment we find ourselves. Ghana has done a great job by having the Cyber Security Authority in place and the enactment of the Cyber security Act. With the coming in of Oduma Solutions, we shall complement the work of the Authority in ensuring a free cyber space for businesses. I believe that this will push the country more ahead in the fight against cyber-crime”, he said.

Ghana has been ranked as the third best cyber security country in Africa after series of interventions by government and the private sector to get regulations in place.
Executive Director for Oduma Solutions, Yvonne Amponsah, told Joy Business that the company is positioned to be the cyber security service provider for all sectors of the economy across the continent.
She assured of commitment to collaborate with stakeholders in dealing with the menace especially in the financial services sector.
Oduma Solutions is a wholly owned Ghanaian entity incorporated in November 2021 with the mission to offer a premium risk based cyber security service.
