Late statesman, Baffour Osei Akoto is being remembered 20 years on.
Mr Baffuor Osei Akoto contributed, advocated, and propelled the establishment of democracy in the country. He was among prominent politicians who opposed the dictatorial rule of the Nkrumah government. He fought alongside Dr. J.B. Danquah of Kyebi to oppose Nkrumah’s authoritarian rule.
The event is happening at the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences (GAAS).
Mr Afriyie Akoto, Agric Minister, Alan Kyeremanten, Paul Okyere Darko among others are present at the remembrance ceremony.
