In recent times, financial analysts and economists have expressed worry over Ghana's economy and how it can be salvaged.
Government has already begun negotiations with the IMF for a support programme for the economy. But the IMF has posited that the country can only receive a programme when it is able to sustain its debt.
In view of this, government is looking at restructuring its debt with the help of the IMF to make its debt sustainable to allow for a programme for the country.
