Ghanaian Dancehall musician and co-judge for TV3 Mentor auditions, has come to the defence of his fellow judge Abiana, who has come under a lot of criticism for how she treated a contestant on the show.
In an interview with Doreen Avio on Daybreak Hitz, he explained that the critics are not aware of the number of hours they had to sit to select their final list of contestants.
“People didn’t look at it from the point of view that we had to sit down the whole day, and the people who came for the audition were over 500, and we had to pick only 35.”
The ‘Atia’ hitmaker added that there were other memorable moments that weren’t shared —and that does not help his colleague judge Abiana.
“It would have been nice if the media house posted a sweet side of it, just to balance it out.”
The dancehall artiste also mentioned, “There was this man who should be in his sixties, I told him that if he doesn’t make it through I and my team will sponsor him, record and shoot videos for him.”
Award-winning Ghanaian female vocalist, Abiana, topped trends with a video that captured her going hard on a young singer who auditioned for this year's music reality show, Mentor.
Abiana, a co-judge with dancehall musician, Epixode, cut short the performance of the male singer who was exhibiting his talent in hopes of making it through the auditions stage.
