Ghana international, Joseph Paintsil, says the game against Portugal at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar will be an opportunity to prove themselves against some of the world's best players.
Ghana has been drawn in Group H for the tournament where they will come up against Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay.
The Black Stars' opening game will be against the European side, with Paintsil picking the game as one of the fixtures he will be excited to play should he make the final squad.
"I’m looking forward to the games against Portugal and Uruguay," he said.
"Portugal because they are an organised team, really good players, the world's best player [in Cristiano] Ronaldo. Playing in the midst of the world best also gives you a different kind of feeling to also prove that you’re capable of also doing something
"Not only him but he has a lot of experience players also around him so playing in such games is really amazing for a player to show himself. It will be amazing and it’s a game I’m looking forward to if I am part of the team."
The 24-year-old also added that making Ghana's final squad for the Mundial will mean a lot for him and his family.
"Making the World Cup squad will mean a lot for me, my family, everyone that has been part of me since childhood, where I started and the clubs I’ve played," he continued.
"It would not be enjoyable for only me but also for them because of the process that I’m passing through. Being part of the World Cup is amazing for every player."
