In a week’s time U.S president Barack Obama and his wife Michelle will arrive in Ghana for a two day visit to the country.
There is heightened anticipation ahead of their visit and the euphoria appears to be catching on with business people selling various souvenirs to commemorate the U.S president’s visit.
There are also a variety of printed fabrics with photos of Mr. Obama and his wife Michelle on the market.
Parts of the central business district have also been branded with banners depicting President Mills and President Obama. But details of Mr Obama’s visit remain sketchy as government is yet to publicly release information about his visit.
Officials at the U.S embassy here in Accra have told Joy News they are waiting for updated information about the U.S president’s visit.
Information Minister, Zita Okaikwei, says committees setup to plan the U.S president’s visit have been working tirelessly to ensure a successful visit.
