The Agricultural Development Bank PLC (ADB) has organised a welcome cocktail party in honour of National Award winners of the 38th National Best Farmers Awards.
The event which was organised at the residency of the Eastern Regional Minister at Koforidua in Eastern region is the is eleventh time that the bank has organised such a reception for the award-winning Farmers and Fishers for their hardwork and contribution to the economy.
With live band from the Eastern Region Division of the Ghana National Fire Service Bank , the awardees and other guests were treated to good music, drinks and food.

Addressing the award winners on behalf of the Bank's Managing Director, the General Manager for Agribusiness at ADB, Kwame Asiedu Attrams, congratulated the nominees for excelling in their respective regions to be recognised at the national level.
He said the cocktail party was to afford the winners the opportunity to interact with each other, government officials and also ADB management to further deepen their strong working relations.
Mr Attrams reiterated the bank’s commitment to support farmers and fishers with tailor-made products and services which would make banking easier and better for them.
For his part, the Eastern Regional Minister, Seth Kwame Acheampong, welcomed the award winners to the region and congratulated them for their hard work and dedication to farming.
He also commended ADB for its support towards the day’s celebration over the years as a way of giving relevance to the agricultural sector.
The Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture, Yaw Frimpong Addo, also commended the farmers and fishers for their continuous commitment and support in feeding the people.
“Through sound government policies and your dedication to the agricultural sector even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, there is still food sufficiency and so you deserve to be celebrated”, he said.
