While Kuami Eugene’s weight gain has generated a lot of conversation, an interview he granted reveals he didn’t want to get fleshy after all.
In the interview which was shot about two years ago but aired Saturday, February 4, 2023 on Joy Prime’s new ‘The Doreen Avio Show’, Kuami Eugene said he had tried not to gain weight.
“I don’t need flesh. I try as much as possible now not to get flesh because I know a time will come I will probably get the flesh I need because now I am able to afford this pizza, buy lasagna and I am eating good. That means if I don’t take good care of myself, by the time I am 40 I can’t be like Okyeame Kwame”, he quipped.

Kuami made the statement when the host Doreen Avio expressed hope that he would gain weight one day, after going through hard times while growing up and subsequently in pursuit of his music career.
For the past few months, there have been a barrage of comments on social media regarding the Rockstar’s weight gain. While some have described his new look as attractive, others have cautioned him not to lose control of maintaining a healthy body shape.
The Lynx Entertainment signee sealed a deal with American record label Empire in 2022 and released ‘Single’ to that effect.
He has also announced he will soon be releasing his next album.
