The Bantama MP on Tuesday, February 14, celebrated Valentine’s Day with the students of Kumasi Girls Senior High School (KUGIS) at Abrepo in the constituency.
Mr Asenso-Boakye used the occasion to remind the kids of the essence of Valentine’s Day.

According to him, the celebration represents “important core values of compassion, gratitude, honesty, faithfulness and kindness.”
“I spent my Valentine’s Day morning with students in the Bantama Constituency.

“I reminded them that the ‘Love’ associated with Valentine’s Day is not about romance, as has been misconstrued lately, but represents important core values of compassion, gratitude, honesty, faithfulness and kindness,” he said in a post on Facebook on Wednesday, February 15.

The MP who is also the Housing Minister also urged the students to use their time on campus for productive activities.

“I also used the opportunity to encourage them to productively use the internet, but they should be mindful of the possible dangers and negative impact of social media so that it will not ruin their future.”
