Musician Jehoshaphat Kwabena Eshun, popularly known as Skrewfaze, has revealed an instance when he almost got poisoned.
Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM, on Monday, he told Andy Dosty that four unidentified men tried to kill him when he went to a bar to get a drink after playing basketball.
“I’m the solo type so I’d like to sit alone and do my thing, so I was in my nose mask to prevent people from recognising me, I just bought a drink,” Skrewfaze said on Tuesday.
He said that while he poured the drink into his glass he heard the four men calling his name - these guys came around and commended him for his good music.
Skrewfaze narrated that a short while after the men sat, they heard a conflict ensue between a khebab vendor and some patrons.
According to the “Gbalagazaa” hitmaker, he turned to monitor the situation behind him leaving his drink uncovered. When he faced forward again, Skrewfaze said, he noticed unusual foaming in his drink.
“I could see they had put something in my drink,” he revealed.
Skrewfaze noted that when he was about to pick up the glass, one of the four guys, who had earlier greeted him, told him to hold on so they could talk for a while.
“To me, I feel they did that to make the poison dissolve and settle down before I take it,” he said.
He added that he decided to visit the restroom where he poured the drink away. Skrewfaze said his thoughts were confirmed after he saw whitish substances in the drink.
“People are evil Andy, you just have to be very careful, for all you know someone probably sent them to come and do this,” he said.
Skrewfaze was on the show to promote his new single 'Downfall' , which he said is out now on all digital platforms.
