As more youth venture into the world of work, there is always a need to educate them on the importance of portraying the necessary values in their quest of securing a career opportunity.
To this effect, the Heritage Christian College organised a career-oriented event dubbed "Aligning the millennials to the world of work."
Advisor at the Office of the Chief Executive, Volta River Authority (VRA), Dr. Stella Agyenim-Boateng adviced the youth on the need to portray the right attitude and values in their search for good career opportunities.

According to the guest speaker, the millennials or the Gen Y generation only sees a degree certificate as the essential tool for securing a job without taking into consideration the need to inculcate good behaviors and values in their workplace
She further explained that the assertion that the world of work has to do with "who you know" all depends on how well one is able to network and socialized.
“Networking is the first point as a young person entering the world of work, joining fellowships and professional associations also helps you get answers to pressing questions".
She finally lauded the initiative and the need for such events to be organised.
Patrons of the event applauded the initiative and promised to apply all lessons learnt to their lives.
