Businessman, Ernest Kwaku Kobeah has filed nomination to contest in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearership race.
He was the first to file his nomination on Tuesday followed by former President, John Mahama.
Mr Kobeah was cheered on by some supporters and well-wishers at the party's headquarters.
In an interview on JoyNews’ The Pulse, explained that he is in the race to create opportunity as well as set an example for the youth not to be intimidated.
“So far as you are confident that you can deliver what NDC wants, you can come forward and pick up the form and that is what I did,” he stated.
He shared that he wants to “be President to build a new Ghana.”
According to him, the country has since independence been the same, adding that there is a need to develop Ghana.
He went on to say that he is here to create jobs for the unemployed.
He, however, stated he will support any candidate who gets to be the party’s flagbearer in the presidential primaries.
