Dear DVLA, the current ambushing of drivers at the Tema end of the dead motorway is endangering lives. One of your men who was in the middle of the road trying to violently wave off drivers to stop was nearly smashed, when two drivers lost concentration and almost got into the back of another vehicle.
Nobody should lose their life over ¢100 or whatever amount you are looking for, it is not worth it. How do you deploy such a crude and primitive way of enforcing rules?
Can't you find a more acceptable form of getting whatever money you want from those who are not compliant? This is the third or so time that this is happening, I was once stopped by your men and another car almost hit my back. What was my mistake?
I didn't have an insurance sticker though it was electronically generated. I didn't pay because I was compliant. I was however unhappy with what could have happened to me or even the car that nearly drove into my back.
This is the era of technology and you are doing that side of the business well, so how come this dangerous style of revenue collection? We already pay road-worthy for roads that are not even fit for purpose…As I said the current ambushing of drivers on the Tema end of the motorway is sickening and it should be stopped.
No amount of money is worth the life of either your staff or motorists…
