Stonebwoy says his primary objective when making music is to ensure that his work meets international standards and is able to last a lifetime.
The reggae dancehall artiste’s 17-track 5th Dimension album was released on April 28 to wide acclaim.
The album debuted at number eight on the Billboard World Reggae Chart, a weekly listing that ranks the most popular Reggae albums in the United States based on sales and streaming.
It features international music icons including Stormzy, Shaggy, Tiwa Savage, Mereba, Jaz Karis, and Angelique Kidjo.
Speaking on PM Express, Stonebwoy noted that in order to achieve the kind of quality his music possesses he heavily invests into top notch music producers from across the globe to work on his project.
The Jugglers and Guilty Beatz are just some of those who have provided technical support to his album.
“I’m actually thinking of working to meet international standard levels that will last a lifetime. That is my thought when I am creating all these things and also getting top notch professionals involved because that gives it the value that it’s supposed to have,” he said.
He added that through such investment, awards like the Grammys will not be as elusive as they have been in the past.
“And then by virtue of this there’s definitely, the Grammys will be there, the Billboards will be there knocking at the doors if you work at this level. So that’s my primary objective.”
