Former Trades and Industry Minister Alan Kyeremanten has officially joined the race to contest in the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) flagbearership race.
His delegation picked nominations forms on his behalf at the party’s headquarters in Asylum Down in the Greater Accra Region on Wednesday.

The delegation was led by some market queens in different market areas in Accra and Kumasi and some members of his campaign team.

Speaking at the NPP headquarters, Nana Abena Serwaa Comfort, who said she headed the Tomato market in Kumasi, said she and her colleagues were thankful for the immense help they received from Mr Kyerematen, especially at the time of their struggles.
She noted that as a result, they promised to make donations, raise the filing fees and pick the forms on his behalf - a feat, she said, they are thankful to have completed.

Madam Serwaa said that many market women since Mr Kyerematen became Trade Minister saw improvement in their trade thanks to his aid and thus they believe the country will benefit from his hard work if he becomes president.
