Prudential Life Insurance Ghana has launched its annual urban cycling event, PruRide 2023.
The launch, which was conducted on Thursday, 22 June, 2023, at the forecourt of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly office, was attended by management and staff of Prudential Life Insurance, Bancassurance partners, the Ghana Cycling Federation and representatives from some of the leading cycling clubs in Ghana.
Speaking at the launch, Dr Hazel Berrard Amuah, the CEO of Prudential Life, said PruRide was a demonstration of the company’s commitment to promote a healthy lifestyle among Ghanaians.
“I look forward to a bigger and better edition, particularly as we celebrate 175 years of helping people get the most out of life,” she said.

This is the fourth edition of PruRide, which was first introduced in Ghana in 2019 among Prudential’s Africa operations.
The ride was inspired by Prudential Ride London, the biggest annual cycling festival in the world supported by Prudential Plc UK and designed as an annual legacy from the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The official branded cycling jersey and medals for winners as well as the calendar of activities preceding the main event in September, were also outdoored during the launch.

Mr Shabban Mohammed, who represented the Ghana Cycling Federation, applauded Prudential Life for its consistency in promoting cycling in Ghana, adding that this has resulted in a rise in the popularity of the sport.
Since 2019, Prudential has consistently committed resources to boosting interest in cycling in Ghana, as a way of working with the community to get the most out of life. Cycling enthusiasts can dial *778*001# or visit www.prudential.com.gh to register.
