One of the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) orphaned constituency contenders in Ejura is building a case to sell its message and ideas ahead of the constituency primary.
Gifty Ndoma, who has filed her nomination forms to run for the party's nomination, is drawing inspiration from Joshua 1:9, which states, "Have I not commanded you? Be fearless and strong. Do not be afraid or disheartened, because the Lord your God will accompany you wherever you go."

Gifty stated that she is determined, and confident of success.
"NPP is in my blood, and I want to unseat the MP who is an NDC," she proclaimed.
Gifty indicated that it is long overdue for a woman to represent the people because men MPs did little for the residents.
"I believe it is past time for a woman to represent Ejura Sekyedumasi."

Though she declines to make her strategies public, she believes she is the only person who could compete with the current MP for the area.
"I can get votes from the NDC and other political parties to add up to NPP votes to win this seat," she said.
Because it is a family competition, Madam Gifty advised her followers to eschew politics of insults and acrimony.
Baba Mohammed, one of her supporters, believes Gifty will be successful at the end of the primary.
From Tuesday, July 11, 2023, to August 10, 2023, the party opened nominations for prospective parliamentary candidates in orphan constituencies.
From September 2023 to Saturday, December 2, 2023, elections in orphan constituencies will be held on a case-by-case basis to elect parliamentary candidates to run on the party's ticket in the 2024 general election.
However, parliamentary aspirants who have submitted nomination forms must first be vetted to determine their eligibility for the internal party challenge to produce parliamentary candidates.
