JoyNews’ Newsfile will this Saturday be discussing the most topical occurrences of the week. First, is Independent presidential aspirant, John Alan Kyerematen's exit from the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) fold.
On Monday, Mr Kyerematen announced his resignation from the NPP with immediate effect while declaring his intention to run as an independent candidate in the 2024 election.
Remember the Super Delegates Conference held on August 26 with Vice President Dr Bawumia leading with 67.10% of total votes cast, Mr Kyerematen pointed out that the election was skewed to benefit a preferred candidate among others as reasons to leave the party.
However, the NPP has disagreed with the claim that the election had been tilted in favour of any candidate as well as other concerns raised.
With this said the argument as to whether Mr Kyerematen can break barriers and emerge victorious in the 2024 election remains a question many have argued on.
What do you also think about the matter? Is it feasible for Mr Kyerematen to become the next president after breaking away from the NPP?
Also to be dissected is the impact of the government's Domestic Debt Exchange Programme. Are there any signs of recovery so far?
