Energy Minister Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has expressed his backing for Failatu Abdul-Razak's endeavour to break the Guinness World Record for the longest solo cooking session.
Dr Opoku Prempeh conveyed that Ghanaians are solidly behind Failatu and encouraged her to pursue the record-setting feat.
In a Facebook post shared on Tuesday, January 2, the Member of Parliament for Manyhia South urged Failatu to not only break the existing record but to establish a new one.
"Ghana, once again, is on the map, this time, through the Cook-A-Thon efforts of Failatu Abdul Razak currently in Tamale. Break the record!!! Girl, It is possible!! We are with you."
Failatu aims to cook continuously from Monday, January 1 to Friday, January 5, 2024, for a duration surpassing 120 hours.
The current record, standing at 119 hours and 57 minutes, was achieved by Alan Fisher from Ireland in 2023.
Failatu's marathon cooking event is taking place at the Modern City Hotel in Tamale, drawing supporters eager to witness this remarkable feat.
