Athletic Club forward Inaki Williams is set to join the Black Stars squad on Thursday, January 4, ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Spain-based forward is one of three players who were yet to join the team following the opening of camp on Tuesday, January 2.
Inaki had to delay his flight to Ghana as the player was battling an illness according to his club’s medical team.
The Athletic Club man is one of three Centre-forwards named in Black Stars coach Chris Highton’s squad for the continental tournament to be staged in Ivory Coast.
However, the versatile forward has now recovered from his illness and is set to team up with the rest of his national teammates who continue their preparations for the 2023 AFCON.
The other two are Antoine Semenyo and Medeama Sporting Club’s Jonathan Sowah.
Chris Hughton’s men will play a friendly with Namibia before their departure to Abidjan for the 34th edition of the competition.
Ghana is housed in Group B alongside Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique.
