Black Stars head coach, Chris Hughton, says his team wants to kick off their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations campaign on a winning note against Cape Verde.
The Black Stars are set to get their campaign underway tomorrow, Sunday against Island Nation in their Group B opening game.
Kick off for the encounter at the Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny in the Ivorian capital of Abidjan is at 8 pm GMT.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference on Saturday, the former Brighton boss stated that his team would approach every game with a similar mindset.
“There is not one bad team in this tournament. Our approach to every game is the same. We would like to begin on a winning note,” Hughton said.
The Black Stars have faced Cape Verde four times ahead of Sunday’s match, winning all of them without conceding a goal.
