Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has described Jordan Ayew as a 'very important' player for his side after the Ghanaian's impressive run last month.
The 32-year-old was voted Palace's Player of the Month for the second this season beating five other teammates to the accolade.
Ayew was involved in three goals in four appearances for the Eagles in February helping them claim their first victory since January as they beat Burnley on his 200th appearance.
His milestone coincided with Glasner's first game in charge of the club after Roy Hodgson resigned from the post. The Ghanaian scored one and provided an assist in the 3-0 win.
"He’s a great player and a very important player for us. He has a lot of experience, a lot of quality, and he deserves it," the Austrian said after Ayew was voted Palace's February Player of the Month.
Speaking after claiming the prize, the winger said his target as always is to contribute a lot to the team and do the needful to help their development.
"Like I always say, the most important thing is the team – I don’t want to really speak about my goals….," he said.
"But for the team, they were important goals, so I’m happy. I want to thank God for everything and keep going and keep pushing."
Ayew is also eyeing the Premier League Goal of the Month for February with his brilliant strike against Everton on February 19.
