Former President, John Dramani Mahama, has donated one hundred thousand Ghana cedis (GHC100,000) to Real Tamale United (RTU) following a meeting on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, in Accra with the management of the club.
The meeting offered the management of the club the opportunity to present to Mahama the state of the club and the efforts being made to restore its lost glory.
The NDC Flagbearer was elated with the courtesy call on him and recounted his engagements with previous management teams on enhancing the fortunes of the Northern Blues.
According to the PRO of the club, John Mahama pledged his support to the current management to facilitate the restructuring of RTU in order to make it more viable and vibrant in Ghanaian football.
He then donated a cash amount of one hundred thousand cedis (GHC100,000) to the club.
The CEO, Zakaria Safianu, thanked Mahama for the cash donation, which he said would support the club in honoring its outstanding matches.
