The 2024 Regional Qualification of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) entered its second day as four schools in the Greater Accra region competed fiercely to secure a slot in the National Championship.
The contest featured Accra Girls SHS, Ghanata SHS, Ada SHTS, and Ngleshie Amanfro SHS.
In the first round of the competition, Accra Girls SHS took the lead with a whopping 24 points, leaving Ghanata SHS in second place with 16 points, Ngleshie Amanfro SHS in third, and Ada SHTS trailing behind.

The atmosphere was charged and intense as the schools entered the second round of the competition, all ready to demonstrate their academic prowess.
Accra Girls SHS continued to lead, further widening the gap with a score of 29 points, while Ghanata SHS tried to catch up.
In the third and final round of the competition, Accra Girls SHS maintained its dominance, securing an impressive 39 points to qualify for the National Championship.

Ghanata SHS came in second place with 34 points, while in a surprising turn of events, Ada SHTS overtook Ngleshie Amanfro SHS to place third with 17 points.
For winning the regional qualifier and securing a slot in the National Championship, Accra Girls SHS was awarded a sum of GH₵1,000.00.
