Former Ghana captain John Mensah has called on Ghanaians to give the Black Stars their full support to help the team flourish.
The senior national team has won their last two 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against Mali and the Central African Republic, results that Mensah finds impressive.
He believes the team needs the unwavering support of Ghanaians to continue their success.
In an interview at the Ghana Football Awards ceremony, Mensah urged Ghanaians to support the national team wholeheartedly.
"They did well in the last two games. They played to make Ghana top of the group or second in the group," he said.
He added that, "I think this is good for the coach and his colleagues, John Paintsil and Fatawu. I think they are doing well, and the players are performing well.
"So I think we have to give them our maximum support for them to continue to do well for the nation."
John Mensah played in two World Cups for Ghana and captained the team in that 2010 World Cup quarterfinal match between Ghana and Uruguay.
He made 86 appearances and scored three goals for West African country.
