Black Stars head coach Otto Addo says he's not fixed on possibly becoming the first coach to qualify the national team for two World Cup tournaments.
Addo could make history later on Wednesday if Ghana secure an early qualification to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, as he would become the first coach to do that on two occasions.
The former Ghana international was at the helm when the team qualified for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and is on the verge of securing a place in the next edition next year.
Asked in his presser ahead of the game on what that would mean, the gaffer said, "Yeah, actually, you know, I don't live too much in the past. We have to think about tomorrow [today], we have to win this game, and then we'll see.
"In a normal scenario, we still need to win the second game as well, or play a draw as well. So, we have to take it game by game, don't think too far. Surely, I'm not thinking too much about myself; it's about the team, and we want to win this game tomorrow, and then we'll see."
The Black Stars face the Central African Republic on Wednesday, October 8, looking to secure qualification with a game to spare, as they would also play Comoros on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
