The National Service Personnel Association (NASPA) has disassociated itself from a strike notice announced by the Concerned National Service Scheme (NSS) Personnel Association of Ghana (CONSPAG).
In a release signed by the Association's president, Gideon Osei noted that "NASPA, the official body for National Service Personnel, has not declared a strike."

This follows reports that CONSPAG, has initiated a nationwide strike on Wednesday, July 3 to demand the payment of overdue allowances.
In a statement dated July 2, 2024, addressed to all NSS personnel, user agencies, and other stakeholders, the association outlined the challenges that led to this drastic measure.
They cited severe difficulties in covering accommodation and utility bills, transportation costs to their user agencies, and basic sustenance at their workplaces.
However, the release urged the public to disregard such information as the group embarking on the strike is not a recognised body.
It further stated the Association is working around the clock to address the delay of allowances.
It added that some areas have been settled including:
- Allowances for April 2024 have been processed and paid and will be reflected in your accounts by Friday, July 5, 2024.
- Allowances for May 2024 will be paid next week by Friday, July 2024.
"NASPA remains committed to your well-being. We are working diligently with the management of the scheme to prevent future delays and ensure timely reflection in their e-zwich accounts. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time."
