Dr Elikplim Apetorgbor, CEO of the Independent Power Producers, Ghana, expressed concerns about the impact on production due to the unavailability of fuel during this period.
He emphasized the need for the government and sector managers to "make available an alternative fuel supply and also this fuel that will be made available should be optimized for proper output."
Dr Apetorgbor acknowledged that while maintenance is essential, he stressed the importance of sector managers engaging in proper planning and coordination to minimize the negative impact on electricity supply during the maintenance period.
