Guinness Ghana Brewery Limited has launched its English Premier League Matchday events and Fantasy Premier League(FPL) for the 2024/25 season.
The event, dubbed "Guinness EPL Matchday" took place at the Barndoor Beer Garden in Osu on Sunday, August 18, 2024.
Hundreds of football-loving fans and social media influencers assembled to watch Manchester City beat Chelsea 2-0 at Stamford Bridge on Matchday One of the new Premier League season.

Wilma Amoo-Osae, Brand Manager of Guinness Ghana, expressed her excitement about this year's edition.
"The energy was there, it was bigger and better," Amoo-Osae noted.
Madam Ammo-Osao revealed that participants of the Guinness Ghana FPL stand a chance of winning a fully funded trip to England next season to watch a Premier League fixture.
"This time round we launched the Guiness FPL where our ultimate winner gets a fully funded trip to watch an EPL game next season."

She explained: "We used this opportunity to also launch our Guinness football movie that's going to be shown on showmax as well and we gave the general experience that was crafted by football.
"The next event will even more fantastic," she stated.
Guinness has been a major sponsor of the English Premier League, and Madam Amoo-Osae that, "If we talk about football, we talk about Guinness. Guiness and football have been the best combo since time immemorial.
"This time Guiness is the official beer sponsor of the English Premier League. We've been doing Guiness Matchday events but this time round it's much special to us because we're coming in as the beer owners of EPL so it's been an amazing time for us and there's so much more we'll be doing with the EPL."
It was a tense atmosphere when the game commenced, with fans glued to the screen eager to see how it would unfold.

Chelsea dominated the first half with numerous chances, but they were unable to capitalise on them against the defending champions.
It was Manchester who opened the deadlock when Erling Haaland attacked a pass from Bernardo Silva in the first half to give Manchester City the lead in the 18th minute.
Mateo Kovacic, who made a return to Stamford Bridge punished his former side when he doubled the lead in the 84th minute with a sweet strike from outside the box to secure victory and all three points for Pep Guardiola's men.
