The Black Princesses' hopes of making it out of the group stages at the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup now hinge on their performance in their final group game.
Ghana has lost their opening two games in this year's competition after defeats to Austria and Japan in Group F leaving them with no points and a goal difference of -4.
However, there is still some hope the team can advance from the mess they find themselves in if they can hit the right notes against New Zealand and hope other results go their way.
This is because of the expansion of the participating teams from 16 to 24 teams for the first time this year, meaning 16 teams would need to make the next round.
"It means that we have to go all out; this time around it means that we have no option than to go in to enusre that we be among the best three," Yussif Basigi said speaking after the defeat to Japan.
"We have to win at all costs. We have no excuse!"
As things stand, the Black Princesses are the least-ranked third teams from all six groups after two rounds of group games.
Paraguay leads the pack with three points while Cameroon, France, South Korea, and Argentina are all on one point each.
From Group F, the top two sides are already out of reach as both Japan and Austria are tied on six points.
Ghana's next game is against New Zealand who also have no pints in the group after two games.
