Chief Executive Officer of Genet Services and convener of the all-women gospel concert, Women in Worship, Gina Ella Nettey has shared the reason why the event could not be held in 2023.
In an interview on Joy Prime’s Prime Morning show with Asieduwaa Akumia, she disclosed that her husband died few months to the event and so she had to halt the event because she was a little traumatised.
“Last year, Women in Worship didn’t happen because I lost my beloved husband. When things like this happen to you, death also decides to create an avenue to bring you setbacks and a whole lot of things that I can’t describe.”
Not only did she lose her husband but, her logistics were also burnt together with her tracks within the same period. But she was still hopeful given that she was still alive, believing God to turn things around for good.
She said “They’re all material things. If we rest on him and believe in him, He’ll compensate you.”
Her horrible experience has birthed the theme for the 2024 edition ‘The Rehoboth Experience’ as the event bounces back better and bigger this September on Sunday, 22nd at the Oil Dome (Royal House Chapel International).
The seventh edition features Nigerian gospel singers, Mercy Chinwo and Ada Ehi. Also, Ghanaian ministers billed to perform include, Diana Hamilton, Empress Gifty and an all-female Team Eternity featuring Efe Grace, Lordina the Soprano and other female gospel musicians.
