The Paramount Chief of Wechiau, Naa Imoru Nandong Gomah II, has reaffirmed the unwavering support of the Wa West Constituency for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), stating that this loyalty is non-negotiable.
He made this declaration during a visit by former President John Mahama, who was on a three-day campaign tour of the Upper West Region.
Speaking to chiefs and community members, Naa Gomah II emphasised that the constituency's steadfast allegiance to the NDC has not wavered over the years.
He expressed optimism about the party's chances of returning to power in the upcoming 2024 elections, underscoring the community's enduring trust in the NDC.
The Paramount Chief also used the occasion to highlight the long-standing relationship between the NDC and the people of Wa West, noting that the party’s development initiatives have solidified their loyalty.
He assured Mahama of the community's continued support as the elections approach.
“We have been praying and wishing for us to come back to power, and the opportunity has come. It is possible because we have done it before, and we can do it again.
"Our unwavering loyalty to the NDC party is still intact. It is non-negotiable. You and your MP should rest assured of our support," he assured Mr Mahama.
