Hasaacas Ladies made a strong start to the 2024/25 Malta Guinness Women's Premier League season following their win over Berry Ladies.
The Hasmal Ladies claimed a 4-0 win over Berry at the Sekondi Gyandu Park on Monday, October 21, on matchday one in the Southern Zone.
Mercy Attobrah scored a hattrick while Vivian Cudjoe was also on the scoresheet for the Sekondi-based side.
Attobrah should have given Hasaacas an early lead but blasted her effort from the penalty spot into the stands.
However, the Black Princesses forward found the back of the net shortly after the miss.
The striker latched onto a howler by the Berry goalkeeper to extend the lead to two in the 38th minute of the game.
Vivian Cudjoe then added her name to the scoresheet 14 minutes after recess to make it three.
With four minutes away from full time, Attobrah completed her hattrick with a lovely lob over the goalkeeper to wrap up the win.
