The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced that it will be upgrading the metering system of its customers using the Clou Prepayment meters.
In a statement issued by the distribution company, it said that the exercise which is scheduled from Friday, October 25 to Sunday, October November 24 will involve the keying in of 40-digit tokens to reset and upgrade the meters.
The areas to be affected are Afienya, Nungua, Tema North, Tema South, Ablekuma, Bortianor, Kole-bu, Nsawam, Ashiaman, Amasaman, Kaneshie and Dansoman.
ECG noted that Clou customers may experience some challenges using the ECG Power App during this period.
In light of this, the distribution company urged customers to visit the nearest ECG Prepayment Vendor, District Office, or call their Contact Center.
“ECG regrets the inconvenience that will arise as a result of the exercise,” part of the statement added.
