The Multimedia Group emerged winners of the arm wrestling contest at the JoySports Invitational Tournament, held at the University of Ghana Stadium.
The host team defeated Minerals Commission in the final to claim their only gold medal in the tournament held on Saturday, October 26.
The event, organised by JoySports and sponsored by the Minerals Commission, McDan Group, The Luckiest, Skechers, Emigoh Ghana, Peeva Beverages, and Caveman Watches, featured about 29 corporate organisations.
Both finalists went through four knockout faces before booking a place in the last two, treating fans with excitement on the day.
The Multimedia Group defeated Republic Bank, Emigoh Ghana, Nationwide Tech and Aramex en route to the final.
Minerals Commission on the other end, faced competition from Labadi Beach Hotel, Nationwide Tech, OmniBSIC and Adansi Travels.
In the end, it was a straight 2-0 win for the host team who won both the left and right arms to claim gold.
The JoySports Invitational Tournament 2024 drew thousands from corporate organisations across the country, solidifying its status as Ghana’s premier corporate sports event.
The event was making a return after a four-year absence.
