King Mohammed VI has sent a message of congratulations to Donald J. Trump on his re-election as President of the United States.
In his message, the King extends his heartfelt congratulations to President Trump, wishing him success in his presidential duties and endeavours to serve the American people.
The King highlights that Trump’s victory is a testament to his patriotism and dedication to the interests of the United States, “our longstanding friend and ally.”
The King reaffirms the historic alliance and strategic partnership between Morocco and the United States, a relationship that has endured over time.
He notes that shared values and interests have enabled both nations to collaborate effectively, making their partnership a key force for peace, security, and prosperity in the Middle East, Africa, and beyond.
The King recalls that during Trump’s previous term, bilateral ties reached unprecedented levels with the U.S. recognition of Morocco’s sovereignty over the Sahara.
This significant moment, for which the Moroccan people remain deeply grateful, underscored the depth of the relationship and laid the foundation for greater cooperation and a broader strategic partnership.
“As we face an array of complex regional and global challenges, the Kingdom of Morocco will continue to be a true friend and loyal ally of the United States,” King Mohammed VI writes, expressing his commitment to working closely with President Trump to “advance our shared interests and strengthen our unique alliance across all levels of cooperation.”
