CEO of JL Properties and Executive Chairman of JL Holdings, Dr James Condua Orleans-Lindsay, has emerged as the Man of the Year at the 9th EMY Africa Awards.
The awards ceremony, held on Sunday, celebrated distinguished men across various fields who are committed to societal progress in sectors including industry, community, culture, and public service.

Invited guests stepped out in their finest to celebrate and recognise hardworking men who have positively impacted society.
Nigerian musician Chike delivered an outstanding performance to kickstart the performances, Ghana's Becca did not disappoint with 'Lomo Lomo' hitmaker, KiDi getting the whole auditorium on their feet to dance.

Twenty-three (23) awards were presented to deserving individuals, with South African legendary actor, Dr Tata John Kani receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award

It wasn’t just about celebrating men—women were also honoured, with Valerie Larbi emerging as Woman of the Year.
The highlight of the evening was when the CEO of JL Properties and Executive Chairman of JL Holdings, Dr James Condua Orleans–Lindsay, was named the Man of the Year.
"Who said hard work doesn't pay? It certainly does pay and breaks no bones," he said while accepting the accolade flanked by family, friends and staff.
Other attendees also commended the organisers for taking the time to celebrate the contributions of men.
Executive Director of EMY Africa, Kojo Soboh, promised even greater things for the 10th edition.
Some of the other awardees included: Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy, who won the Man of the Year Music category, former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah, who was honoured with the Continental Sports Icon Award, BuzStopBoys, who won the Discovery of the Year.
