Ghanaian forward Mohammed Fuseini starred for Royal Union Saint-Gilloise as they advanced to the next stage in the Belgian Cup.
Fuseini was involved in three goals in the 3-2 win over Gent at home on Wednesday night scoring one and providing two assists.
Fuseini, who scored his first European goal last week, got the home team under after 13 minutes as he set up Promise David for Saint Gilloise's opening goal.
However, Max Dean netted a 43rd-minute equaliser to ensure both teams went into the break level on the scoreboard.
Three minutes into the second half, Fuseini restored his side's lead. The 22-year-old rounded the goalkeeper before his first effort was blocked on the line but there was no denying him the second time as he made it 2-1.
In the 58th minute, Fuseini and David combined again to stretch Saint-Gillloise's lead. The Ghanaian's great footwork beat his marker before feeding David to make it 3-1.
Omri Gandelman reduced the deficit in the 62nd but Gent were unable to make it 3-3 as they lost at the end of 90 minutes.
The win sees Royal Union Saint-Gilloise progress to the quarterfinal of the Belgian Beker van Belgie.
With his three-goal involvements on Wednesday night, Fuseini has been directly involved in eight goals across all competitions since joining the club last summer.
