The National Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joseph Yamin, has stated that the party is fully prepared for the upcoming election, claiming that they are 99.7% ready to win.
Speaking to Joy News at the NDC's final rally at Zurak Park in Madina, Accra, he emphasized that the NDC had been well-organised for some time, with preparations having started over a month ago.
"We have been organized long ago and have been waiting for this moment," Mr Yamin said. "As I speak now, we are 99.7% ready to win the election."
He explained that the NDC had originally planned to hold their rally at a bigger venue to accommodate a larger crowd. However, due to the government’s control over certain resources, they were unable to secure a stadium or a larger space. As a result, they opted for Zurak Park in Madina.
“This is the last rally we will do before we go and prepare ourselves to take over power,” he added.
Reflecting on the party’s readiness, Mr Yamin expressed pride in the NDC’s ability to energize their supporters for the election. "We have equipped their enthusiasm, and they are ready to defend the flag of the NDC on election day," he said.
He also highlighted the importance of vigilance, urging party supporters and citizens to remain watchful. “What is left now is being vigilant and standing firm against intimidation,” he said. "We are ready to face any challenges that come our way."
Mr Yamin further called on Ghanaians to resist any attempts at violence. "We must not engage in violence; rather, anyone who attempts to bring it should be prepared for our people to resist," he warned.
