James Kwasi Appiah says he is determined to win the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) with Sudan in Morocco.
Sudan secured a return to the continental tournament after finishing second in their group in the qualifiers last year. Appiah's men finished behind Angola and above Niger and Ghana despite the difficulty of no active domestic competition in Sudan.
Having booked a place in Morocco, the former Ghana gaffer says his ambition is to guide the Falcons of Jediane to glory.
“Winning the trophy is my goal,” said Appiah in an interview with Akoma FM. "By God’s grace, we have qualified. We will prepare thoroughly to ensure we have a strong team before the AFCON.
"Once you’re in, you aim for the cup rather than coming out with nothing."
The 2025 AFCON is scheduled to begin on December 21, 2025, with the draw slated for January 25 in Rabat, Morocco.
Appiah's side beat the Black Stars en route to securing qualification.
